Eating, retail facilities in downtown Moscow to be closed on Jan 31 - authorities

Moscow police earlier said that in light of calls for unauthorized rallies on January 31, traffic restrictions would be introduced in downtown Moscow on Sunday

MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. Eating and retail facilities in downtown Moscow will be closed on January 31, Head of Moscow’s Department of Trade and Services Alexei Nemeryuk told TASS on Friday.

"Unfortunately, cafes, restaurants and other eating and retail facilities in the city center will be closed on Sunday. Besides, the sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in glass bottles will be suspended between 09:00 am and 11:00 pm," he said.

Moscow police earlier said that in light of calls for unauthorized rallies on January 31, traffic restrictions would be introduced in downtown Moscow on Sunday. Besides, several subway stations in the city center will be closed.
