MOSCOW, June 11. /TASS/. Six humanitarian actions were held in southern Ukraine and the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) on Saturday, when 841.4 tonnes of humanitarian aid were handed to civilians, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said.
"On June 11, 2022, six humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and in the Zaporozhye and Kharkov Regions, during which 841.4 tonnes of daily essentials and food were distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters in Ukraine.
The general added that federal executive bodies along with Russian regions, a wide range of public organizations and patriotic movements continue to accumulate humanitarian aid, while more than 33,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been readied at collection points.
Since March 2, Russia has delivered 29,322.7 tonnes of daily essentials, foodstuffs, medicines and medical products to Ukraine, and 1,147 humanitarian actions have been carried out.
