Kursk operation turns into a ticking time bomb for Kiev, Russian official says

Igor Kimakovsky explained that the deployment of Ukrainian forces to the Kursk Region had made it possible for Russian troops to advance in the most tactically crucial areas

DONETSK, March 14. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army’s operation in the Kursk Region has proved to be a ticking time bomb for the country’s elite, Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, told TASS.

"It was obvious from the very start, and we now can see clearly that the Kursk venture has deprived the Ukrainian elite of bargaining chips on the frontline and in terms of politics. The other side has suffered irreparable losses on every front. The incursion into the region set off a time bomb for Kiev," Kimakovsky said.

He explained that the deployment of Ukrainian forces to the Kursk Region had made it possible for Russian troops to advance in the most tactically crucial areas. As for the Ukrainian army, it lost the most combat-ready units in the Kursk Region. "It was all pointless. Kiev has lost vast territories permanently, it has no chance of success on the frontline, and it is running out of troops," Kimakovsky concluded.
