Ukrainian forces attempt to bring reinforcements to Chasov Yar — DPR head

Denis Pushilin added that Ukrainian forces are at the same time trying to establish some defensive positions in the frontline area

MOSCOW, February 17. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army is attempting to deploy reinforcements to Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), regional head Denis Pushilin told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"There is still ongoing fighting in the town of Chasov Yar itself. The enemy is doing everything in its power to maintain control, trying to redeploy reinforcements to hold the settlement for as long as possible," he said.

The regional head added that Ukrainian forces are at the same time trying to establish some defensive positions in the frontline area further from the town.
