Detailed Ukraine talks not started yet — Russian MFA

"But it is still too early to talk about a specific negotiation process. Until recently, in principle, there was nothing to stimulate," Maria Zakharova said

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Talks on Ukraine have not yet entered the phase of hammering out details, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

She also stated that while Russia calls for halting Western weapons supplies to Ukraine, Moscow doesn’t see that as a condition to "stimulate" any talks.

"What we are saying is that the supplies should be stopped, that the continuation of the conflict is linked to the ongoing supplies," she said. "But it is still too early to talk about a specific negotiation process. Until recently, in principle, there was nothing to stimulate."

"Some people banned themselves from holding negotiations, while others shouted that everything should be resolved on the battlefield," the diplomat went on to say. "As for how exactly, hypothetically things will be structured later - we will comment on that when there is an appropriate reason to do so."
