Russian air defense daily downs five Ukrainian drones, missiles over Mariupol

DONETSK, February 4. /TASS/. The Russian air defense daily repels up to five Ukrainian drone and long-range missiles attacks on Mariupol. The military has designed additional measures to destroy hostile missile and artillery systems and ground drone control centers, Mayor Oleg Morgun said.

"The adversary does not abandon attempts to attack peaceful residents and critical infrastructure of Mariupol. The air defense repels five daily attacks on average. The enemy uses drones and long-range missiles. The military also presented additional measures to destroy hostile missile and artillery systems and ground drone control posts," he said.

Morgun has met with Major General Vitaly Dmitrienko from the Aerospace Forces and deputy commander of the 52nd air defense division Lieutenant Colonel Nikolai Gronsky. They handed over to him a congratulatory message from the Aerospace Commander-in-Chief Colonel General Viktor Afzalov. The mayor thanked the commanders for the air defense of Mariupol.
