MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Russia’s incumbent President Vladimir Putin gets 87.41% of the vote on the federal online platform, which brings together 28 Russian regions, according to the Central Election Commission.
Nearly 3.86 ballots were cast for the Russian president online.
The 2024 presidential election is the first time that voters have the option of casting their ballots electronically, with online voting available in 29 regions, comprising one-third of the country’s constituent regions. Residents of 28 regions voted online via the federal voting platform, while the capital Moscow had its own system. The presidential election took place over three days on March 15-17.
