MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Moscow is ready for further interaction with Paris if the French side shows some interest here, as it was French leader Emmanuel Macron who broke off relations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference.
"We had quite good, working relations. As you know, I was in France, Mr. Macron came to Russia. We always had a rich agenda of bilateral relations and international issues. We are ready to continue cooperation with France. But at some point the French president broke off relations with us. It was not us who broke it off, it was not me who broke it off. It was he who did it. If there is interest - please, we are ready," the head of state said.
"If there is no interest, we will be fine without it [France]. That's all. There is nothing unusual here. We are not afraid of these contacts," the president noted. "If European countries, and especially the French president, do not want to communicate with us, there is no judgment. We have things to do. If there is interest, we are ready," he reiterated.
