MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The Russian side expects to hold ministerial conferences with African countries every year in between Russia-Africa summits, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov said at the Primakov Readings forum.
"A new dialogue format has been established as part of efforts to get on the same page to implement a wide range of tasks and simplify our communication with the continent. These are Russia-Africa ministerial conferences. And they will be held on a regular basis. We believe that they will be held annually in the interval between the summits that we agreed to hold in three years," the deputy minister pointed out.
According to him, this format will be "the most important tool for facilitating the transition from stated plans to the achievement of real results." "Here, of course, our practical action plans, which were adopted both after the first summit and now - after the second one - are crucial," Bogdanov added.
The second Russia-Africa summit was held at the Expoforum convention center in St. Petersburg on July 27-28, with the summit’s economic and humanitarian forum taking place concurrently. Similar to the first Russia-Africa summit held in 2019, this year’s event was held under the motto: "For Peace, Security and Development." The event was organized by the Roscongress Foundation. TASS was the information partner of the summit and the forum.
The 9th Primakov Readings International Forum titled: "Postglobalization Horizons" is running in Moscow on November 27-28. TASS is a general information partner of the forum.
