MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. The MOEX Index has dropped below 2,800 points for the first time since April 16, 2025, according to trading data.

As of 10:52 a.m. Moscow time (07:52 a.m. GMT), the MOEX Index was down by 1.32% at 2,799.34 points.

By 11:05 a.m. Moscow time (08:05 a.m. GMT), the MOEX had extended losses to 1.34% as it traded at 2,798.82 points, while the RTS was down by 1.34% at 1,081.91 points.

Meanwhile, the yuan exchange rate against the ruble was down by 6.3 kopecks at 11.347 rubles.
