As of 12:52 p.m. Moscow time (9:52 a.m. GMT), the dollar exchange rate was down by 1.74% at 85.95 rubles. By 1:10 p.m. Moscow time (10:10 a.m. GMT), the dollar had narrowed losses to 1.4% as it traded at 86.53 rubles.

Meanwhile, the euro exchange rate was down by 1.28% at 90.6 rubles in the Russian interbank market.
