MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Exports of Russian fish products in January-October 2023 increased by 11% and reached about 1.9 mln tons. In value terms, exports increased by 1% and reached $4.8 bln, Russia’s Federal Agency for Fishery reported.
"Exports of Russian fish products in January-October 2023 (excluding trade outside the customs area) amounted to about 1.9 mln tons, which is 11% higher than the level of 2022. At the same time, its value increased by 1% to $4.8 bln," the statement said.
Imports of fish products to Russia climbed by 18% in the first ten months of 2023, reaching 492,500 tons. It reached $2.1 bln in value, which is 6.5% higher than the 2022 level.
Furthermore, the agency noted that the volume of Russian fish product exports to China climbed by twofold in the last ten months, reaching 944,000 tons. At the same time, the volume of fish product trade turnover between Russia and China surged by 92% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 1 mln tons.
