Shoigu arrives in Minsk to attend Supreme State Council of Union State

The Russian Security Council press office specified that Shoigu is to brief attendees of the meeting on the concept for the security of the Union State

MINSK, December 6. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Minsk to take part in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, a TASS correspondent reported.

At the airport, he was welcomed by Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Alexander Volfovich.

The Russian Security Council press office specified that Shoigu is to brief attendees of the meeting on the concept for the security of the Union State.

"This is an important document, which outlines common strategic goals and objectives and defines the Union State's security priorities. It has been developed in accordance with the requirements stemming from the difficult international situation in the face of significantly expanded threats from the West," the press service noted.
