MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin led a briefing session with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.
"We routinely discuss issues related to strengthening protective measures against terrorist threats to various facilities. At this session, we will focus on efforts to ensure anti-terrorism security for transport and transportation infrastructure," the Russian leader said as he opened the meeting.
Putin then handed the floor to Minister of Transport Roman Starovoit and Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev for their reports.
Among the participants in the meeting were also the speakers of the Russian Federation Council and the State Duma, Valentina Matviyenko and Vyacheslav Volodin; Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev; Presidential Administration Head Anton Vaino; Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu; Presidential Aide Nikolay Patrushev; Defense Minister Andrey Belousov; Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergey Naryshkin; and Special Presidential Envoy for Environmental Protection, Ecology, and Transport Sergey Ivanov.
