MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin receives reports from the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Defense Ministry and the National Guard on the situation in the Bryansk Region border area, infiltrated by Ukrainian saboteurs, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Thursday.
"President Putin is in the Kremlin, he receives constant, regular reports through the line of security agencies. In particular, the head of the Federal Security Service [Alexander] Bortnikov, Defense Minister [Sergey] Shoigu and the National Guard head [Viktor] Zolotov report directly to him. We are talking about the events that are unfolding in the Bryansk Region in connection with the attack of the Ukrainian militants," Peskov said
"The security forces report on the actions of the security agencies I've earlier mentioned in countering the terrorists," he added.
The Kremlin spokesman stressed that Putin was also in touch with Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz. "Putin receives reports from Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of the Bryansk Region, on the situation on the ground and the measures being taken, primarily to ensure the safety of our citizens," Peskov explained.
