Trump stops short of reaffirming two-state solution for Middle East conflict

At a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after bilateral talks, Trump was asked whether his plans to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip meant that he does not support the two-state solution to the conflict

WASHINGTON, February 5. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has failed to confirm that Washington would continue supporting a two-state solution in the Middle East.

At a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after bilateral talks, Trump was asked whether his plans to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip meant that he does not support the two-state solution to the conflict.

"It doesn't mean anything about a two state or one state or any other state. It means that we want to give people a chance at life they have never had a chance because the Gaza Strip has been a hell hole for people living there. It's been horrible," Trump replied.
