Iran to speed up development of nuclear program in response to upcoming IAEA’s resolution

On November 14, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Eslami said that Tehran will not allow the European trio to pressure the republic in regards to its nuclear program

DUBAI, November 16. /TASS/. Iran will take response measures if the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors adopts the resolution, which Tehran considers hostile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

"The meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors will take place soon. We believe that an anti-Iranian resolution will be adopted there. If they adopt the resolution aimed against us, they will receive a proportionate response from Iran. We will take new measures in regards to our nuclear program, which they would not like at all," Araghchi said on Iranian TV.

He pointed out that the Islamic republic sped up the development of its nuclear program in response to all IAEA’s hostile steps in the past.

On November 14, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Eslami said after his meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi that Tehran will not allow the European trio (the UK, Germany and France) to pressure the republic in regards to its nuclear program by forwarding anti-Iranian resolutions to the IAEA Board of Governors.

The meeting of the Board’s technical committee will take place in Vienna between November 18 and 22.
