Zelensky signs bills to extend martial law, military mobilization in Ukraine

According to Yaroslav Zheleznyak, this is the 13th time martial law has been extended

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky signed off on bills to extend martial law and military mobilization in Ukraine until February 7, 2025, according to lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

Zelensky "signed the bills on the extension of martial law and general mobilization for 90 days: from November 10, 2024 to February 7, 2025," he wrote on Telegram.

According to the lawmaker, this is the 13th time martial law has been extended.

Ukraine imposed martial law and general mobilization on 24 February 2022 and has been repeatedly extending since then. The regular extensions made it impossible to hold parliamentary and presidential elections in the country, which raised questions about the legitimacy of Zelensky, whose five-year presidential term expired on May 21.
