YEREVAN, February 18. /TASS/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Yerevan is not Moscow’s ally regarding the Ukrainian issue.
"I have long been saying that regarding the Ukrainian issue Armenia is not Russia’s ally. This is our sincere position. It’s painful that we cannot influence the situation. The Ukrainian people are our friendly people," Pashinyan said at a meeting with representatives of the Armenian diaspora in Germany.
The Almaty declaration (of 1991) covers all, not only Armenia, as it was signed by former Soviet republics, including Russia and Ukraine, having recognized each other’s borders, he noted. "The declaration recognizes borders and territorial integrity of the republics. The same logic works regarding the Ukrainian issue. The declaration covers all. And if we ruin it everything may be ruined," Pashinyan concluded.
