This year's US election 'will be the last real election' if Trump loses, Musk says

The entrepreneur further added that the US has ceased to be a "real state" because of its lack of border security

NEW YORK, November 5. /TASS/. This year’s presidential election could mark the last legitimate election for the country if Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump is defeated by Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee, US entrepreneur Elon Musk stated.

"If Trump does not win, this will be the last real election in America," Musk said in an interview with Joe Rogan. The well-known US podcast host also expressed his belief that a significant portion of the American public understands the consequences if Trump fails to win the upcoming election.

Musk further added that the US has ceased to be a "real state" because of its lack of border security. "You are not a real country if you have insecure borders; you are just a fake country," he noted.

The US presidential election is set to take place on November 5, with voters also selecting a third of the Senate, the entire House of Representatives, and governors for 11 states and two territories. Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris are competing for the presidency. Trump, who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, is seeking a return to the White House after losing to Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Harris has been serving as vice president since January 2021.
