Ukrainian officer says 90% of fellow servicemen have no desire to fight

According to Vyacheslav Khomenko, soldiers in his platoon don’t have required combat experience

NEW YORK, November 25. /TASS/. Vyacheslav Khomenko, a platoon commander of Ukraine’s 21st Mechanized Brigade of the National Guard, conceded in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that most Ukrainian servicemen have no motivation to fight.

"People are tired," he said in a WSJ story that describes the deplorable state of Ukrainian invasion forces in Russia’s Kursk Region.

According to Khomenko, 90% of troops in his platoon don’t have required combat experience or desire to fight.

Ukrainian forces started a major attack on the Kursk Region on August 6. The government declared a federal-level emergency there and started to evacuate people living near the border to safer areas. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine has lost more than 35,300 servicemen and 216 tanks since the start of fighting in the Kursk area. The operation to destroy Ukrainian formations is ongoing.
