Fire at Tupras oil refinery extinguished

No one was injured in the fire, the company said in a press release

ISTANBUL, November 25. /TASS/. The firefighters have extinguished the fire that broke out near an installation at the Tupras oil refinery in Aliaga, western Turkey. No one was injured in the fire, the company said in a press release.

"The fire broke out at a crude oil processing installation at out refinery at about 8 p.m. The installation was shut down. […] The fire has been extinguished. No employees were injured in the incident. The operation of other installation continues," the company said.

Previously, the A-haber TV channel reported that an explosion occurred at an oil heating installation for an unknown reason, which caused a fired.

Tupras is one of Turkey’s largest privately owned companies.
