NEW YORK, November 25. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces are making Ukrainian troops leave their positions in the Kursk Region, the Wall Street Journal writes, citing a battalion commander with Ukraine’s 47th Mechanized Brigade.
"They’re assaulting all the time - morning, day, night," he said. "I think they’ll eventually push us back," he said. "They add more power and more resources, and they have a goal to reach the border at any cost, so they will do it," the Ukrainian commander added.
According to him, Russia has about three times as many men as the Ukrainians in the Kursk Region and six times as many explosive drones. The newspaper points out that the Ukrainian army is facing numerous challenges. In particular, "Moscow is hammering supply lines and storage facilities with glide bombs, which Ukrainian forces have no way to shoot down."
Russia’s borderline Kursk Region came under a massive attack from Ukraine on August 6. A state of federal emergency is in effect in the region. Residents of border areas are being evacuated to safer places. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Kiev has lost more than 35,300 troops and 216 tanks since fighting began in the Kursk area. The operation to destroy Ukrainian troops continues.
