MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The shooting of residents of Selidovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) by Ukrainian troops was obviously meant to repeat the Bucha provocation, Russian foreign ministry’s ambassador at large, Rodion MIroshnik, said.
"This (the shooting of Selidovo residents by Ukrainian troops - TASS) could be a provocation, a kind of Bucha 2.0. <…> And this is happening amid allegations in Western publics about the possible beginning of talks. I am not speaking about official channels but about some media speculations. <…> Ukraine invented and organized Bucha. That is why it is quite possible that Ukraine hatched such a provocation codenamed ‘Selidovo’ to halt a potential negotiating track," he told TASS.
The shooting of civilians, according to Miroshnik, could have been meant to "simply intimidate people who want to continue living on their soil.".
