Top Israeli defense official announces construction of fence on border with Jordan

"We are going to do it very quickly," Israel Katz said

TEL AVIV, November 26. /TASS/. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said during a visit to the Central Command that he will actively promote the construction of a fence on the country's border with Jordan.

"We see a relentless and institutionalized Iranian effort to establish an eastern front against the State of Israel. I have decided to intensively promote the construction of the fence on the eastern border between Israel and Jordan. We are going to do it very quickly," The Jerusalem Post quoted the top defense official as saying.

Katz first called for the construction of a fence on the border with Jordan in late August, when he was still the country’s top diplomat. At the same time, he accused Tehran of working to create an "eastern terror front against Israel.".
