Israeli military strikes back after rocket fire from Syria

The shells landed in an unpopulated area

TEL AVIV, December 19. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces said it detected rocket fire from Syria and responded by shelling the source of the fire.

"Some time ago, several launches were recorded from Syria toward Israel. The shells landed in an unpopulated area. In response, IDF artillery struck the sites from which the Syrian fire originated, while IDF tanks shelled a military post of the Syrian army," the IDF said in a statement.
