Biden invites Zelensky to visit White House on December 12 — press service

WASHIINGTON, December 11. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden has invited his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zelensky, to visit the White House on December 12, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.

"President Biden has invited President Vladimir Zelensky of Ukraine to the White House for a meeting on Tuesday, December 12 to underscore the United States’ unshakeable commitment to supporting the people of Ukraine," she said in a statement.

According to the press secretary, the two leaders "will discuss Ukraine’s urgent needs and the vital importance of the United States’ continued support at this critical moment."

Zelensky’s previous visit to Washington took place on September 21. The Ukrainian president arrived in the US capital city from New York where he took part in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
