The Russian Defense Ministry repeatedly reported facts of Ukrainian servicemen surrendering on the battlefield

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. The number of Ukrainian servicemen currently held in captivity stands at over 3,500, the Ukrainian government said.

"A fact of imprisonment of 4,337 persons (3,574 military and 763 civilians) was determined," the government said on its website.

The Russian Defense Ministry repeatedly reported facts of Ukrainian servicemen surrendering on the battlefield. In late October, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that the surrendered Ukrainians tell about the poor psychological state in their military units.
