Beijing to do COVID-19 testing in biggest district on June 13-15 due to outbreak

BEIJING, June 12. /TASS/. Residents of Bejing’s biggest district, Chaoyang, a home to 3.5 million people, will undergo COVID-19 testing from June 13 to 15 amid an outbreak in the area, the local government said on Sunday.

China registered a coronavirus outbreak in the district, and most infection cases - 166 - are linked with the Heaven bar in Chaoyang. Of them, 145 are customers, another two are employees, and 19 are people that were in contact with the customers.

Chaoyang residents will have to take three PCR tests from June 13-15. The outbreak comes after the city relaxed coronavirus restrictions in most districts on Monday. In Chaoyang, some entertainment outlets have been closed again.
