Polish politician criticizes Ukrainian version of Bucha events

Janusz Korwin-Mikke noted that the houses in the town were almost undamaged and asked why had the relatives not removed the bodies from the streets

WARSAW, April 4. /TASS/. Polish politician Janusz Korwin-Mikke criticized the Ukrainian version of events in the Ukrainian town of Bucha (Kiev Region) and challenged its plausibility, according to the wpolityce.pl website.

"Did you notice that the houses [in the town] are almost undamaged? Now think, why are people being buried in mass graves, and not by their relatives? And why have the relatives not removed the bodies from the streets? Look and think!," the politician said.

Korwin-Mikke is the leader of the Confederation Liberty and Independence ("Confederation") political party, which has 11 seats in the Polish Sejm. He served as a Member of the Eighth European Parliament.

Earlier on Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the situation in Bucha a "fake news attack." He claimed that a setup was staged there, which is now being promoted on all TV channels and social networks in Ukraine and in the West. The top Russian diplomat noted that Moscow views the situation in Bucha as a provocation that threatens the international peace and stability.

On April 3, Russian Ministry of Defense debunked Kiev’s accusations of murder of civilians in the town of Bucha, Kiev Region. The ministry stated that Russian forces have completely left Bucha on March 30 already, while "evidence of crimes" only appeared four days later, when Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) officers arrived in Bucha. The Ministry of Defense also underscored that, on March 31, Bucha Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk confirmed that there were no Russian forces in the town, without mentioning any shot civilians.
