MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Ukrainians have had a change of heart about US President Donald Trump over the past three months, with 73% of respondents polled by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) now saying that his presidency is "bad for Ukraine."
"The share of those who think that Donald Trump’s presidency is bad for Ukraine grew from 21% in December 2024 to 72% in March 2025," the institute said.
Also, back in December 2024, 54% of Ukrainians considered Trump’s presidency a blessing for Ukraine. "However, only 19% of respondents think so in March 2025," the pollster said.
The poll did not delve into the reasons behind the sudden shift in public opinion.
The survey was conducted in two stages: on February 14 - March 4, and on March 12-22, among adult residents, on territories controlled by the Ukrainian government. A total of 2,029 respondents were interviewed by phone during the first stage (margin of error - 2.4%), and 1,326 respondents - during the second one (margin of error - 2.5%).
