MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on whether Russia may recognize the international LGBT movement as extremist.

Asked about whether the Russian authorities view sexual minorities as members of the society or an extremist community, Peskov said: "I don’t think I am in a position to comment here in the wake of a motion by the Justice Ministry. Therefore, I wouldn’t like to say anything here," he added.

Earlier, the Russian Justice Ministry filed a suit with the Supreme Court to recognize the LGBT movement as extremist and prohibit its activities. Court hearings on this matter will be held on November 30.
