Russia will lose if it does not create future itself — Putin

The Russian leader emphasized that the primary goal of both the state and scientists was to "work proactively"

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Russia must shape its own future; otherwise, it risks falling behind, President Vladimir Putin stated during a conversation with young scientists.

One young researcher, Konstantin Titov, pointed out that Russian scientists are already taking the initiative to create the future.

"If we don’t take charge of this process, we will start to lose ground. The future is being shaped regardless, but if we don’t engage, it will be created without us. In all the areas we’re discussing, the future is being forged right now," Putin responded.

He emphasized that the primary goal of both the state and scientists was to "work proactively."

"Overall, you are making progress, and for that, I want to thank you and your colleagues, teachers, mentors, and everyone who collaborates with you," Putin said to the audience.
