Ukraine demolishes buildings with soldiers inside as Russian forces advance — DPR leader

Amid the successful advance of Russian forces, Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately attacking civilian neighborhoods in Gorlovka, which is adjacent to Dzerzhinsk, Denis Pushilin said

DONETSK, November 27. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces demolish buildings in Dzerzhinsk, even with their soldiers inside, if the threat of Russian forces establishing control over them arises, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, told the Solovyov Live TV show.

"The enemy continues to deploy reserve troops [to Dzerzhinsk]. We have witnessed a trend with them where they <…> destroy high-rise buildings with their own [soldiers] inside if they see that they cannot hold it. Even their fellow soldiers are unable to retreat - they cause destruction so that we cannot establish our strongholds there," the DPR leader said.

Amid the successful advance of Russian forces, Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately attacking civilian neighborhoods in Gorlovka, which is adjacent to Dzerzhinsk, he added.

On November 24, Pushilin said that the Russian Armed Forces were advancing in Dzerzhinsk. According to him, fighting is taking place in the center of the town.
