Kremlin not to disclose content of closed-door talks between Putin, Grossi

During the open part of the conversation, Putin and Grossi did not mention the ZNPP

BOCHAROV RUCHEY, March 6. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has not disclosed the content of the part of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held behind closed doors.

"We are not commenting on the closed-door part of the conversation," the Kremlin official said replying to a question by TASS as to whether the potential launch of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was discussed during that segment of the talks.

During the open part of the conversation, Putin and Grossi did not mention the ZNPP. They discussed cooperation between Russia and the IAEA in general and projects in various countries. That said, Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Russia’s Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, announced that the IAEA delegation and Putin would discuss the possibility of rendering the Zaporozhye nuclear facility safe and functioning.
