MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russia and Iran currently are at a stage of boosting interaction on all fronts, Head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky said on Wednesday.
"We are currently at a stage of bolstering interaction in every direction," he said during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian at the State Duma.
According to Slutsky, the year 2022 went down in history with its "unprecedented dynamics of bilateral ties, the intensity of political dialogue, including in the space of parliamentary diplomacy."
"This fast pace was set by the presidents of Russia and Iran who met four times last year and only in the beginning of [this] year had three detailed phone conversations. Their trusting relationship stimulates us to expand ties on all the key directions of the bilateral and regional agenda," the legislator added.
