Situation in Kherson area is stabilizing — acting governor

Vladimir Saldo said that the civilian panel of the region’s administration was assisting the military in terms of logistics, so that "the armed forces feel sufficient support"

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. The situation in the Kherson area is stabilizing, artillery bombardments are less frequent and the Ukrainian forces make no attempts to counter-attack, the Kherson Region’s acting governor, Vladimir Saldo, said on the Rossiya-24 round-the-clock television news channel on Thursday.

"For now, there are no serious changes, or counterattacks, or anything else on the line of engagement. There are far fewer shellings than usual or than ten days ago. In general, the situation looks stable," he said, while answering a correspondent's question if there were any problems in the Kherson area.

Saldo said that the civilian panel of the region’s administration was assisting the military in terms of logistics, so that "the armed forces feel sufficient support."

Earlier, the region’s deputy governor, Kirill Stremousov said that as of Thursday morning the situation in Kherson had not changed, although there had been attempts to bombard the city with HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
