Allied forces can launch counter-offensive near Krasny Liman — DPR leader

On October 5, Denis Pushilin said that Krasny Lyman would be retaken

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. The allied forces in the Krasny Liman area already have an opportunity to go on the offensive and dislodge Ukrainian militants from Makeyevka and Novosadovaya, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said on the Solovyov Live TV channel on Thursday.

"Take the Krasny Liman area. The situation is changing fast there. The 20th army has repelled enemy attacks for several days in a row. Now it was possible to go on the counteroffensive and drive the enemy out of Makeyevka, the Krasny Liman district, and Novosadovaya," he said.

On October 1, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that due to the threat of encirclement troops had been withdrawn from Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People's Republic to more advantageous positions. He also noted that the Russian army destroyed more than 200 Ukrainian servicemen in the Krasny Liman area, but the enemy commissioned reserves and continued the offensive, having a significant superiority in manpower and materiel.

On October 5, Pushilin said that Krasny Lyman would be retaken.
