WASHINGTON, January 6. /TASS/. The US Department of Energy allocated in total $2.7 bln to three companies for development of domestic uranium enrichment facilities.

Funds were allocated for development of such facilities during the next decade, the department said on its website. US authorities expect it will strengthen energy security and reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.
