KURSK, April 2. /TASS/. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian armed forces attacked Russia’s bordering Kursk Region with 47 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and firing artillery on the area 31 times. The enemy UAVs dropped explosives seven times, regional governor Alexander Khinshtein reported.
"In total, 47 enemy drones of various types were shot down over the region between 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT) on April 1 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT) on April 2. The enemy fired artillery at the evacuated areas 31 times. Drones attacked our territory seven times by dropping explosives," the governor wrote on his Max social media channel.
According to the governor, agricultural equipment, including two combine harvesters, a tractor, and a trailer, was damaged in the attacks in the Zhedenovsky settlement in the Khomutovsky district. A car was damaged in the Kolyachek settlement. A Paz bus, a Gazelle van, and another car were damaged on school grounds in the village of Kalinovka. A shed was damaged in the village of Giryi in the Belovsky district. "There were no fatalities or injuries," the governor added.
