MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. The Skvorets line of drones, one of the most widely used in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, has been expanded with the development of the Skvorets-opto fiber-optic version. The first batch of the newest drones has been delivered to the Russian military and is receiving positive feedback, the all-Russia People’s Front told TASS.
"Radio jamming of all kinds is not a problem for Skvorets-opto drones. They are controlled via fiber optics, have a range of up to 20 kilometers, and a payload of 3.3 kilograms. The first batch has already been sent to the troops. We are in contact with the troops 24/7, analyzing feedback, and making adjustments as necessary. The feedback is favorable," said Anton Belozerov, a representative of the manufacturer.
In addition, with the support of the Kulibin Club, the developers presented the Skvorets-V2 attack unmanned aerial vehicle, an upgraded version of one of the most widely used drones in the special military operation.
The Skvorets-V2 received its name because it has two video transmitters. If one is jammed, the operator can switch to the second and continue the combat mission. This is another way to counter enemy electronic warfare systems. This drone operates perfectly on its own or with a repeater drone. It is used on the front lines and has proven itself, with a flight range of 20-25 kilometers. "The People’s Front’s Kulibin Club helps scale up production, test drones at the training ground, and provides feedback from frontline soldiers," said club representative Gleb.
The Kulibin Club selects, tests, and supports the mass production of the best products designed by Russian engineers. Thanks to this initiative, thousands of innovative electronic warfare systems, quadcopters, self-propelled robotic vehicles, and other products have been deployed to the front lines.
