MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes that Kiev representatives will react positively to Russia’s proposals during the talks in Belarus.
"Our proposals are on the table of the negotiators group from Kiev. We hope that they will react positively," Putin said during a meeting with female employees of Russian airlines.
The Russian leader underscored that demilitarization of Ukraine is one Moscow’s key demands.
"We help citizens, residents of Donbass, by seeking a neutral status of Ukraine, by seeking demilitarization of the country, because we have a clear and precise understanding, which weapons are located where and under which control," he said.
According to Putin, different options are possible here.
"We discuss them now, including with representatives of the Kiev regime during the negotiations process in Belarus," he noted, thanking Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko for his assistance in organizing the talks.
