NIZHNY NOVGOROD, February 20. /TASS/. Two individuals have lost their lives in a small plane's rough landing in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Main Directorate for the region reported on Thursday.
"A small plane made a rough landing and caught fire near the settlement of Novolikeevo in the Kstovsky district. Regrettably, the incident claimed the lives of two individuals," the agency shared.
A total of six emergency personnel and two units of equipment were dispatched to the site to put out the fire.
An investigation has been launched into the hard landing of a Vans RV7 light aircraft. The Nizhny Novgorod transport prosecutor and investigators have arrived at the scene.
Additionally, a probe related to the incident has been initiated under Article 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of flight safety and air transport operation regulations), the agency reported.
