MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Two more Ukrainian warships set off from Berdyansk to the area where three Ukrainian vessels had entered Russia’s territorial waters, and border guards of Russia’s Federal Security Service are taking all steps to prevent a new provocation, the FSB press service said.
"Today at 11:30 a.m. Russia’s FSB Border Service noticed that two other armored artillery ships of Gurza class left the Berdyansk port. At the moment, they are heading in the direction of the Kerch Strait at a maximum speed to the area of provocation carried out by Ukraine. The FSB Border Service is taking all steps to thwart this provocation," the statement said.
The FSB noted that "the Kiev leadership, which makes such dangerous and irresponsible decisions, should have thought about the aftermath of its actions."
Earlier on Sunday, the Russian Federal Security Service’s Border Service in Crimea reported that three Ukrainian warships had illegally crossed Russia’s state border entering its territorial waters, and were carrying out dangerous maneuvers. The Ukrainian warships continue heading to the Kerch Strait. A source in law enforcement agencies of the South Federal District identified these vessels as two small armored boats Berdyansk, Nikopol and tugboat Krasnoperekopsk (which was renamed by Ukraine).
Director General of Crimea’s sea ports Alexei Volkov told TASS that passage through the Kerch Strait has been banned for civil vessels due to security reasons.
