Russian Railways can invest 1 bln euro into upgrade of Slovenia’s railways — Putin

Vladimir Putin said after talks with Slovenian counterpart that options of Russian Railways’ participation in upgrade of Slovenia’s railway network are considered

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Russian Railways can invest 1 bln euro into upgrade of Slovenia’s railways, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

"Options of Russian Railways’ participation in upgrade of Slovenia’s railway network are considered," Putin said after talks with Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor. "Large-scale investments about 1 bln euro are the point at issue," the Russian president said.

Slovenian companies traditionally have good representation in Russian pharmaceuticals and agricultural sectors, Putin said. "Russian constituent entities are also proactively working with their partners in Slovenia," he said. "Interregional ties are developing steadily," Putin added.
