Rosneft sent draft offer for Bashneft minority shareholders to Central Bank

Rosneft closed the deal on acquisition of 50.08% shares in Bashneft for 329.7 bln rubles ($5.2 bln) on October 12.

MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Rosneft sent a draft mandatory offer for buyout of ordinary shares in Bashneft from minority shareholders to the Central Bank of Russia for endorsement, the company said on Friday.

This refers to 55.466 mln of Bashneft shares. According to current laws, Rosneft is to issue an offer to Bashneft minority stockholders within 35 days after it purchased 50.08% in the Russian oil producer.

Rosneft’s Board of Directors reviewed execution of transactions in the amount equal to or above $1 bln on October 27. Rosneft also approached the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia for permission to buy out 100% shares in Bashneft because it will make possible to purchase any smaller stake.
