Russia harvests 129.8 mln tons of grain in 2024 — Agriculture Ministry

In 2023, Russia had its second-largest grain harvest ever, totaling about 147 mln metric tons

MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. Russia harvested 129.8 mln metric tons of grain in 2024, Deputy Agriculture Minister Andrey Razin said at a roundtable in the Federation Council, the upper house of Russian legislature.

"The crop farming sector is impacted enormously by environmental and climatic fluctuations, and last year was a perfect example of this. We ran the gamut of problems in the last agricultural year: droughts, excessive moisture during harvesting, as well as water shortages. Nevertheless, we raked in a good harvest - almost 130 mln metric tons; 129.8 mln metric tons according to the latest Russian statistical authority data," Razin said.
