MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. Rosneft retains the status of the largest independent gas producer in 2024 in Russia and produced 87.5 bln cubic meters of gas (down 5.6% year on year), the Russian oil major said in its 2024 report under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

"Gas production by the company in 2024 totaled 87.5 bln cubic meters (1.455 mln barrels of oil equivalent daily) in 2024. As of the end of 2024, Rosneft maintained the status of the largest independent gas producer in Russia," the company said.

More than a third of gas production was provided by new projects in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, Rosneft added.
