MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Sberbank continues to efficiently perform in a highly competitive market and remains one of the most successful financial organizations in the world in the face of sanctions pressure, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters following the release of the bank's IFRS.
"Last year alone, Sber transferred 375 billion rubles ($4.2 bln) in dividends to the federal budget. This year, we are observing an increase in the value of shares, which reflects the positive sentiment of investors towards the bank," he noted.
Siluanov stressed that "Sber is an important development institution that helps people and businesses solve their everyday financial issues based on advanced technological solutions." Sberbank's net profit under IFRS for 2024 amounted to 1.58 trillion rubles ($17.9 bln), and for the fourth quarter - 353.1 billion rubles ($4 bln). Compared to 2023, the final result for 2024 increased by 4.8%.
