Belarus’ gold and currency reserves up 4.2% in March to $8.1 bln

The National Bank of Belarus has not provided information on the structure of reserves and factors influencing the dynamics during the month since August 2022

MINSK, April 7. /TASS/. Belarus’ gold and foreign currency reserves grew by 4.2% in March 2023 and amounted to almost $8.1 bln as of April 1, the National Bank of the republic reported on Friday.

Belarusian gold and currency reserves increased by $329.1 mln (by 4.2%) in March after a decline by $373.3 mln (by 4.58%) in February 2023, according to the regulator. That brings the country’s international reserve assets to $8.098 bln as of April 1, according to preliminary estimates.

The National Bank of Belarus has not provided information on the structure of reserves and factors influencing the dynamics during the month since August 2022.
